Ikkis is an upcoming Bollywood biographical war-drama film that will portray the life of Arun Khetarpal, the youngest Indian Army officer to be posthumously honoured with the Param Vir Chakra for his brave actions during the 1971 Battle of Basantar. The film stars Agastya Nanda in the role of Arun, and late actor, Dharmendra will make his final on-screen appearance as Arun's father, Brigadier M. L. Khetarpal. Co-hosted by the China Tibetology Research Center, leading academic institutions and local governments, the two-day event brought together nearly 50 senior officials and prominent scholars from major universities and research institutes. Participants held in-depth discussions on promoting long-term stability and high-quality development across the Qinghai-Xizang Plateau under the framework of the Chinese path to modernization. Key topics included protecting the region as a vital national ecological security barrier, improving local livelihoods, promoting high-quality population development, integrating the development of national parks with surrounding communities, advancing rural revitalization following ecological relocation, and fostering a strong sense of community for the Chinese nation.
